Former Giant Landeta helps NY-YIP cheer on the Giants
On Nov. 28, 2011, members and friends of NY-YIP gathered at Kodiak’s restaurant in Farmingdale for the Monday Night Football Pregame Reception ahead of the New York Giants/New Orleans Saints game. They enjoyed networking, food and beverages and even ran into former New York Giants punter Sean Landeta.
Landeta mingled, signed autographs and took pictures with members and guests of NY-YIP. Landeta, who spent 22 years in the NFL as a punter, played with the Giants from 1985-1993, winning two Super Bowls—in 1986 and 1990. A highlight of the evening: Landeta let attendees of the reception try on his two Super Bowl rings.
Attendees also donated food and money to Long Island Cares/Harry Chapin Food Bank.
