On Oct. 15, 2009, CTYIP held an educational executive panel titled, Staying Optimistic During Challenging Times at the Crowne Plaza, Cromwell. Dan Labrie, president and chief executive officer of Housing Authority Insurance Group, Kenneth Distel, vice president of The Distel Group; Joseph Bishop III, CPIA, principal of Associated Insurance Agencies Inc., MBI Co. Group LLC; Paul Chmura, CIC, regional vice president of Southern New England Region Peerless Insurance Co.; and Judy Jackson, former CEO and current consultant for NLC Insurance Cos., served as panelists and discussed hot-button issues facing insurance professionals today. David LaManna, CIC, AAI, owner of Thomaston Insurance Center led the discussion.

Fall member reception

The 2009 CTYIP annual fall member reception was celebrated on Oct. 15, 2009, at the Crowne Plaza Cromwell. Members took part in networking while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and cocktails to celebrate the fall season.
