Every year the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals roll out the red carpet to honor individuals and companies with a passion for insurance excellence! These industry-wide awards recognize extraordinary contributions including, but not limited to: technological advancement, innovation, lifetime achievement
and more.

 

CTYIP Market Innovation Agency of the Year award

This award was created to honor a property/casualty agency that has developed and/or implemented an innovative, dynamic new program, product, or service for the benefit of its clients today.

CTYIP Digital Agency of the Year award

This award serves to recognize a a property/casualty agency that is utilizing cutting-edge technology to achieve a more efficient, forward-focused operational model. Technologies should address existing challenges within the industry today.

CTYIP Industry Awareness award

This award was created to honor a property/casualty agency that works to raise the reputation of the Main Street insurance agency system by educating the public regarding the value of choosing a local insurance agent. Awardee must have demonstrated a significant effort toward this cause.

CTYIP ‘Going Green’ award

This award honors an organization that “gives back” to its community through various channels such as: reducing energy consumption and paper production; actively recycling; and participating in and/or supporting local events that strengthen communities.

Community Service award

Given to an organization that is not only active in the industry, but philanthropic within its community.

MGA of the Year

Presented to a managing general agency that has provided a tremendous service to the insurance industry.

CTYIP Jim Goodman Lifetime Achievement award

A passionate supporter of CTYIP and emerging professionals in the industry, James Berliner, CPCU, of Bridgeport’s Berliner-Gelfand & Co., is an active past president of PIACT. He has served on every PIACT committee and he is an advocate of the independent agency system in Hartford and Washington, D.C. His remarkable community involvement includes, but is not limited to, the Newtown Lions Club; the United Jewish Center in Danbury; and coaching youth baseball.
